TEXSOM PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
Please join us for an exciting and educational wine and spirit awards season as a TEXSOM Awards Production Team volunteer. Opportunities for both pre-judging and event roles are open. Expression of Interest forms are available for the Production Team held in conjunction with the TEXSOM Awards judging March 22 – 25, 2026 at Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas. We encourage all beverage enthusiasts and beverage trade professionals to submit an Expression of Interest.
The TEXSOM Awards Production Team assists with event production leading up to and throughout the judging. Team members learn and practice wine receiving, inventory procedures, label verification, and help to organize and stage wines and spirits. The exposure to so many beverages, including wines, ciders, meads, sakes, and spirits, has been noted by previous team members as one of the highlights of the experience that offers perspective on the breadth and depth of the wine and spirits world.
Interaction amongst the various team’s activities allows the chance to discuss appellations, grape varieties, wine styles, and laws affecting wine. In addition, learning alongside Awards Panel Teams, TEXSOM Staff, and fellow volunteers helps those in hospitality develop new ideas about the execution of events in their own businesses, as well as creates important connections with industry professionals representing a variety of markets throughout the country.
For those joining us during the judging event in March, TEXSOM arranges meals for the group and pays for all meals as part of the group. TEXSOM Awards is not able to provide reimbursement for hotel, air travel or local transportation to and from the awards venue. All confirmed participants will receive an opportunity to reserve accommodations in the TEXSOM Awards block. Room rate, taxes, and any incidentals are the responsibility of the individual.
TEXSOM Awards Production Team participants are required to acknowledge understanding and compliance with our anti-harassment, anti-discrimination, and code of conduct policy. All participants must be 21 years of age.
TEXSOM Awards Production Team Expression of Interest Forms will be reviewed for compliance with parameters imposed by beverage alcohol laws, and you will be notified of your status in advance of our monthly meetings:
